Today i received a letter from HOTA. HOTA means Human Organ Transplant Act. It is part of the law.

The letter is about organ transplant.. It says HOTA allows for the kidneys, liver, heart and corneas of all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents, above the age of 21, to be used for the purpose of transplantation after their death unless they have specifically objected to this in their lifetime.

So it basically means that if you did not object to it, you are obligated to donate out your organs for life-saving purposes. Haha.. so if you want to object, you better take note of this.

Personally, i will not object to it. I even decided to not only donate my organs for life-saving purposes but also for education, treatment and research purposes.

Haha.. You will be thinking that i will die without a complete corpse?? But think about this, when you are dead, does having a complete corpse matters?

Either way, you will still be dead.

So i decided to donate my organs out so that other people can benefit from it.

Will you do the same?

Have you ever wondered what if the person you loved is a robot or a machine built to not feel pain or any feelings? Even if there is pain or feelings, it is just data which can be deleted afterwards? Imagine that the robot looks like a real human and the robot or machine seemed to be perfect in every single way and is able to do what humans can't do. Will that be a ideal lover??

Will you even go as far to marry or spend your remaining life with this robot knowing that he/she is a robot? Knowing that she do not feel pain or have any feelings? Knowing that she obeys your commands and does not have any opinions of her own?

Falling in love with that robot might be possible. Let's say you started living with the robot. You buy it in the first place to help you in your work. But spending time with the robot everyday makes you realised that you are falling in love with it. It cares for you when you are sick. It shows you care and concern when you are down. It takes good care of you when you are hurt. Perfect in every single way. Will you marry that robot? Even it was a robot, you can never delete the memories you have with it. To the robot, it may be data. But to you, a human, it is a memory. You won't be able to delete it. It doesn't matter whether it is a robot or not, you can't erase the fact that you spent time with the robot and fell in love with it. The robot might not feel it but it is a memory to you.

If the guy is me, i would marry the robot too. Because to me, i can't deny the times that i have with the robot. It might mean nothing to a robot but to a human, it means a lot. Even though i might be laughed at, i will still marry that robot because i love the robot for who she is and not what she is.

If you find this interesting, you can check out this love story between a human guy and a robot girl. It is quite a touching story. Very nice. But it is an anime. So if you want to watch it, be prepared for cartoony stuff.
